Dollywood is already selling passes for its 2027-28 season, which is still close to six months away. It might seem far off, but really, it's no surprise considering the theme park just ranked as Tennessee's most popular attraction online.
Stasher recently ranked the most underrated and overrated attractions in the U.S. by comparing online search volume each attraction's TripAdvisor rating. The ranking gave equal importance to metrics across sites like Instagram, TikTok and Wikipedia.
Attractions that had high online popularity scores included spots from across the state. Here's what made the list.
How Dollywood's popularity compares to TripAdvisor rating
While the ranking set out to find underrated and overrated attractions in each state, Dollywood's online popularity was about on par with its TripAdvisor
rating.
Dollywood led the rankings with a score of 96.9 out of 100 in online popularity. Its TripAdvisor rating was 4.3 out of five.
It's no shock Dollywood ranked well. The longstanding fixture in East Tennessee recently received recognition in several areas during the Golden Ticket Awards.
The theme park has also drawn praise from celebrities, most recently Britney Spears.
Tennessee's most popular attractions online
Other attractions across the state had low online popularity scores despite having high TripAdvisor ratings. Many of those ratings were even higher than Dollywood's TripAdvisor rating.
The National Museum of African American Music in Nashville came in last in Stasher's top 10 most popular attractions online in Tennessee, with an online popularity score of 23 despite a near-perfect TripAdvisor rating of 4.9.
Unlike Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country received a low online popularity score. The water park's score was 28.17 out of 100 even though its TripAdvisor rating was 4.2 out of five.

Tennessee's most underrated attractions
To compile the list of the most underrated attractions in Tennessee, Stasher gave attractions a final score based on the discrepancy between high TripAdvisor ratings and low online popularity. The list had some overlap with the most popular attractions online.
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park took the top spot as the most underrated attraction in Tennessee. It has a 4.8 TripAdvisor rating but an 11.1 online popularity score. Its final ranking score was a -63.30.

It's probably no surprise to Tennesseans that Dollywood claimed the No. 1 spot among the most popular attractions online in Tennessee. It probably doesn't come as a shock that Dollywood made the top 10 attractions online in the U.S. either.
The Pigeon Forge theme park took the No. 10 spot on the most popular U.S. attractions online list.
