A corporation with ties to a popular fast food chain has bought the former O'Charley's building in Turkey Creek.
The location at 11036 Parkside Drive closed months ago, and the property was sold in June. O'Charley's has closed other locations across the country as the national restaurant and bar chain downsized.
Kasada LLC bought the property June 3 for $4.6 million, according to property records. The Louisiana-based group has turned properties around the country into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers locations in places such as Daytona Beach and Lima, Ohio.
Knoxville has two Raising Cane's locations now, one near West Hills that opened in 2025 and another on the Strip that opened in 2024. If the fast-food chain takes over the O'Charley's spot, it
will be the third Raising Cane's restaurant in the city.
O'Charley's is a chain restaurant that had 44 locations across 12 states before the widespread closures. It was founded in Nashville in 1971 and said its "roots demand we deliver the ultimate 'Southern Comfort' experience − warm hospitality grounded in authenticity."
The restaurant's website now says "Thank you for your patronage and support over the years," and notes its assets are being liquidated to pay creditors.
Other local O'Charley's locations - on Kingston Pike, on South Mall Road and in Alcoa - no longer show up in an online search.
