A dream is coming true for Emily Ann Roberts. For the first time in her career, she’s headlining her own tour that will take her to iconic venues around the United States and right back home in Knoxville.
Roberts’ “Thread” tour kicks off in February and she will play the historic Tennessee Theatre Feb. 6. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Oct. 23 at emilyannroberts.com.
“I grew up going to the Tennessee Theater my whole life and never dreamed big enough to think that I would headline a show there one day. That is cuckoo! That is just crazy!” Roberts told Knox News recently.
Roberts will play other “bucket list” venues on the tour, including the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, Texas.
“We're hitting all kinds of places
that I've never been to before and that I'm so excited to bring my live show to. And I just hope people buy the tickets and come ready to have fun because we're going to have fun one way or another,” she said.

What to expect during an Emily Ann Roberts tour
Roberts has lots of experience opening for artists such as Blake Shelton and Thomas Rhett, and she’s done some one-off headlining shows this year, including at Dollywood. But the "Thread Tour" will allow her to shine all on her own.
“It is a wild feeling to think I'm not just, you know, riding on somebody's coattails and singing for 20 minutes and then letting them run the thing, but I'm in charge here. Like we're doing it,” Roberts said.
Being the headliner “changes everything,” Roberts said, and it gives her the opportunity to elevate her shows with lighting and other production elements that she’s never been able to have before.
Performances will feature a mix of songs from her new EP, “Thread,” and her most popular older songs. And be prepared to do go on a rollercoaster of emotions.
“But most of all, I really hope … that people leave feeling like they got to spend good time with friends,” Roberts said. “I hope that they feel a sense of community at my shows because I sure feel a huge sense of community when I see my fans.”
Roberts’ five-track “Thread” was released Oct. 16. She co-wrote all the songs on the EP, which is part of a larger project to follow.
