Tennessee Volunteer fans have no doubt become used to singing "Rocky Top," or even Morgan Wallen's "The Way I Talk" when DJ Sterl the Perl plays it in Neyland Stadium at the end of third quarter.
And college football fans across the country all have signature songs that serve as the soundtrack to their teams and fall Saturdays, but now a new song is entering the mix.
"High Noon" by Shaboozey featuring rapper Gunna is the 2026-27 college football season anthem, ESPN announced. The song will be featured across its networks, including ESPN, ABC and the SEC Network. Over 1,000 college football games will be aired across ESPN networks this season, according to the announcement.
A video made for the announcement and shared by ESPN, featured several clips of different college stadiums and teams. By the way, the opening shot of the video is a clip of Neyland Stadium.
The rest of the video includes shots of crowds in the stands, players, coaches and mascots. It features snippets of "High Noon" and voice-overs from Chris Fowler, Rece Davis, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit, all ESPN college football media personalities.
The new college football anthem dropped at midnight July 30 and is off of Shaboozey's new album "The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales."
“It’s so exciting to have ‘High Noon’ as the anthem for this upcoming college football season on ESPN,” Shaboozey said in a statement released by ESPN. “I’m excited for the song to be part of the energy, tradition, and memories of game day.”
Other artists who have had college football anthems include over the past few years include, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, Fall Out Boy, Lauren Alaina, X Ambassadors, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Imagine Dragons, Judah & the Lion, Juice WRLD & Marshmello, DJ Snake & Rick Ross, and Yungblud.
The song was released just in time for the start of college football season. ESPN will begin covering the 2026-27 on Aug. 29 in Dublin, when the North Carolina Tar Heels take on Texas Christian University at noon ET.
