The University of Tennessee is back in session on the Knoxville campus with students hustling between classes and Chancellor Donde Plowman leading the campus into another record-breaking enrollment year.
It's a hot summer day on campus, and Knox News chatted with students outside of the Student Union, where construction is continuing on new amenities. In the courtyard connecting the building to the Haslam College of Business, students ordered from food trucks, visited campus booths and got their photos taken in front of a First Day of Class Instagram-worthy display.
Knox News asked what advice they have for their new peers, and their sensible answers are in the video player above.
