TripAdvisor recently released its Travelers’ Choice Awards for Best of the Best Hotels in the United States, and even with over 8 million hotels on the site, one in Tennessee still made the list, a feat
accomplished by fewer than 1% of hotels, according to TripAdvisor.
The Inn at Christmas Place
in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, took home the No. 6 spot on the top 24 Best of the Best Hotels list. It was the only hotel in Tennessee to make the list."With the old-world charm and elegance of a picturesque Bavarian hotel, The Inn at Christmas Place is your number one destination for a memorable experience," TripAdvisor said.
The list was compiled by TripAdvisor based on hotels that received a high volume of "above-and-beyond" reviews over a year-long period.

The Inn at Christmas Place has a total score of 4.8/5 on TripAdvisor, based on close to 4,000 reviews. Hotel guests love the heated pool and the doorman most about this holiday-themed spot.
"This place lives up to its reputation. All of the staff were charming, the rooms were festively decorated, and there was fun to be had for all ages," a guest who visited in September 2026 and gave the hotel a five-star review wrote on TripAdvisor.
Since opening in 2007, The Inn at Christmas Place has aimed to foster "all the wonderful feelings that accompany Christmas," according to its website. And while all the rooms are Christmas-themed to embody the holiday spirit, the inn also offers the Christmas Suite and the Santa Suite, which really go all out with the Christmas decor.
The holiday spirit doesn't stop with the decor. The Inn at Christmas Place hosts events including character visits, where characters like snowmen, reindeer and, yes, Santa Claus come to greet guests, as well as marshmallow roasts, Winterfest activities and a Christmas in July celebration.
A countdown to Christmas on the hotel's website (88 days as of Sept. 29) shows guests just how dedicated the hotel is to the December holiday.
"The Inn at Christmas Place is all about festive spirit year-round. Beautiful themed suites and landscaped gardens set a merry mood," TripAdvisor said.

Hotels from across the country made TripAdvisor's Best of the Best list, but Charleston, South Carolina, reigned supreme with four hotels making the list. New York City came in second with two hotels appearing on the list.
