A pair of Dollywood performers have made it to Hollywood.
Sisters Ferryn and Brinkley Wright – both from Sevierville – auditioned on NBC’s “The Voice” and became the first contestants of the show’s 30th season to earn a four-chair turnaround.
Ferryn, 20, and Brinkley, 17, appeared on the season’s premiere episode on Sept. 21 and performed “When Will I Be Loved” by the Everly Brothers and Linda Ronstadt. Their harmonies caused coaches Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Queen Latifah and Adam Levine to turn around and woo them for their teams.
“Your vocals sound so sweet together,” Latifah told them. “Your energy together was amazing. It came through this chair and said, ‘Turn around, Queen. Turn around and see what’s going on there, right now.’”

In the end, the sisters chose country star Green to serve as their coach for the popular singing competition.
“That was the first performance I’ve seen that took me back to where I grew up at,” first-time “Voice” coach Green told the duo. “I was back in the little music hall of my great-grandparents’ house listening to country music that my grandparents loved so much.”

East Tennesseans might know Brinkley and Ferryn from Dollywood. The sisters are full-time Dollywood performers and perform around the region.
Ferryn once got the chance to sing on stage with Dolly Parton, and both sisters walked in the Dollywood parade alongside Parton.
“It was an honor to be around the late, great Dolly Parton,” Ferryn said on “The Voice.” “We miss her so much, and East Tennessee will never be the same.”
Brinkley and Ferryn will next appear on “The Voice” during the competition’s battle rounds which begin airing Oct. 12.
