County Sheriff's Office deputies shot a person at a Weigel’s gas station on Clinton Highway but the department has released little other information.
A news release said deputies shot someone "acting erratically" this morning but did not say if the person survived, whether they had a weapon or what happened that led to a shooting.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will handle the investigation, which is routine in police shootings.
"This is all the information available for release at this time. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as the investigation continues," the KCSO statement says.
