Oliver is the sixth player to commit to coach Josh Elander's 2028 class and the second-highest ranked of the current group. He is ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 45 overall prospect and No. 16 outfielder nationally and the No. 2 prospect in Alabama. He picked the Vols over Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State.
Tennessee received earlier commitments from five class of 2028 prospects: first baseman/outfielder Keelan Zumwalt, catcher Logan Arnett and right-handed pitchers AJ Dungan, Trigg Listerman and Mason Little. Zumwalt is the highest ranked
as the No. 17 player in the class, according to Perfect Game.
Oliver is a 6-foot, 180-pound left-handed outfielder from Hoover High School in Hoover, Alabama. He also pitches and has played football as a defensive back and wide receiver.
Current Vols freshman infielder Jaxson Wood played at Hoover High before enrolling at Tennessee this fall.
