Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis is out for the season with an ACL injury, coach Josh Heupel said on Sept. 14.
Davis, a senior, had a good start to the season, catching touchdown passes in each of the first two games. He had three catches for 43 yards. But he will miss the remainder of the season.
Sophomore DaSaahn Brame and South Alabama transfer Trent Thomas will pick up more of the load in replacing Davis.
No. 14 Tennessee (2-0) plays Kennesaw State (1-1) on Sept. 19 (7:45 p.m. ET, SEC Network) at Neyland Stadium.
