I did not vote for President Trump or Rep. Tim Burchett, but I do understand and share the concerns that motivated many to vote for them: focus on the real needs of working Americans, keep inflation and prices under control, put some order in our immigration system, stop this habit of being involved in any possible war on earth.
But after some years of Republican majority in all branches of power, what has it accomplished? Immigration is more chaotic than before, inflation and prices exploded, the president is focused on his personal interests not our pocketbook, and we are starting one unnecessary war after another.
But more importantly, what is Rep. Burchett doing to stir our government in the right direction? Did he sign a new comprehensive
immigration reform bill? Did he vote to stop the new tariffs that increase prices of everything? Did he vote to stop the completely unnecessary (and expensive) war with Iran ? (He actually voted ”no” on the Resolution 89, 7/23/2026, requiring the president to remove the troops for the Iran war.)
Apart from talking, what is he doing for working Americans? (He actually voted “no” on the bill HR 6644, 6/23/2026, that would reduce the cost of housing for Americans.)
In the fall we vote again for Tim Burchett’s seat in the House. It is time to send to Washington new and younger people, people with less political baggage and more ideas on how to improve our lives, people committed to us and not to the establishment.
