Class of 2028 right-handed pitcher Mason Little announced his commitment to Tennessee baseball on Sept. 22.
In an Instagram post thanking friends and family, Little wrote: "I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of Tennessee! ... I would like to thank Coach (Josh) Elander, (pitching coach Austin Knight)
, and the entire Tennessee coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity."Little visited Tennessee last weekend as the football team played Kennesaw State on Sept 19. His announcement came two days after right-handed pitcher Trigg Listerman, who visited the same weekend and committed to the Vols on Sept. 20.
Coach Josh Elander now has three commitments in his 2028 recruiting class with catcher Logan
Arnett having committed earlier in September.
Little is from Gulfport, Mississippi, and plays third base in addition to pitching. Perfect Game ranks him as the No. 177 overall player in his class and No. 4 in Mississippi. Prep Baseball Report has him ranked as the No. 376 overall player and No. 112 right-handed pitcher.
Listed at 6-foot, 190 pounds, Little's fastball was measured at 93 mph this summer.
