Grace Christian freshman receiver Braylen Mathis received an offer from Tennessee football, he announced on Oct. 5.
"Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee," Mathis wrote in a post on X.
Mathis' recruiting has picked up since the start of the 2026 TSSAA football season. The Class of 2030 prospect received other power conference offers from Ole Miss, Louisville and Auburn. He appeared in four games for Grace as an eighth grader, then earned a more prominent role as a freshman.
"He's had so much experience already," Grace coach Justin Price told Knox News on Sept. 18. "He's got elite speed... Braylen's off to a great year. He's added
a dimension to our offense that is fun to watch."
