Oct. 17 was a good day for Tennessee Volunteers fans. The Vols beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 26-10 during their "Third Saturday in October" rivalry.
The game ended with Tennessee fansstorming the field
, smoking celebratory cigars and singing along to "Dixieland Delight." What could have made the night better? Maybe Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning and country music star Riley Green surprising fans by performing their new "Alabama vs. Tennessee" duet.Manning and Green released the song, which pokes fun at one of the top college football rivalries, just days before the game, on Oct. 12. The two pledge allegiance to different teams: Green to Alabama, and Manning, obviously, to Tennessee.
Following the Tennessee win, Green and Manning made a surprise
appearance at Saloon 16, a bar completely decked out with Manning memorabilia.
Green strummed the guitar while he and Manning sang their new song. Manning, less accustomed to performing live, appeared a little less comfortable singing for the crowd.
"Well, we can joke, give each other hell," Green sings. "I can yell 'Roll Tide.'"
Manning follows up with the lyrics, "Sing Rocky Top all night."
The crowd cheers for the two throughout the performance.
