Tennessee football quarterback Peyton Manning returned to Neyland Stadium for The Third Saturday in October.
Manning was on the field pregame and took time to speak with defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and other assistant coaches from the Tennessee staff.
The 14th-ranked Vols (5-1, 2-1 SEC) play No. 7 Alabama (5-1, 3-1) on Oct. 17 (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
Manning, still the leading passer in program history, frequently visits Knoxville to support UT and the football team. He was last at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 26 for the Vols' 24-17 loss to then-No. 1 Texas.
It was the first trip to Neyland Stadium for Arch Manning, the starting quarterback for the Longhorns and Peyton's nephew.
He made an appearance on ESPN's "College GameDay" at Ayers Hall, then
watched the remainder of the game from a suite with other members of the Manning family.
