The national midterm elections are Nov. 3. That might not seem that soon (after all, Tennessee JUST had an election last month!), but now is the time to make sure you're ready to vote on or before Election Day.
How can I check on my voter registration status?
You can check on your own voter registration information - as well as the voting site for your precinct and which districts you're in for local, state and congressional offices - at https://tnmap.tn.gov/voterlookup/.
What races will be on the ballot Nov. 3?
Tennessee voters will make their final choices for governor and seats in Congress and the Tennessee Legislature.
How can I find out about the candidates on my ballot before voting?

What's the deadline to register to vote in the midterm election?
If you aren't already registered to vote, you'll need to register by Oct. 5 in order to cast your ballot in the Nov. 3 election.
Can I register online or by mail?
If you have a Tennessee driver's license or Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security ID you can submit your voter registration application online at https://ovr.govote.tn.gov/. Otherwise, you can print out the voter registration form from that site and mail it in. The application must be submitted online, postmarked or hand-delivered to the county election office at least 30 days before the election.
When will early voting begin in Tennessee?
Early voting will be Oct. 14-29. Knox News will publish information about early voting times and locations in print and at knoxnews.com.
