The junction of Dutchtown and Mabry Hood roads is quickly becoming a densely populated West Knoxville intersection. A medical office building is going in across the street from a new 270-unit apartment complex.
The Dutchtown Place complex will have offices for three tenants and 51 parking spaces, according to leasing documents. The office space is currently available for lease.
The Elmstead apartment complexacross the street opened this year, according to its website. The facility includes a pool, fitness center, dog park and outdoor pavilion. The apartment complex offers
discounts as perks for residents who work for one of its preferred employers, which include Knox County Schools, the University of Tennessee, Pilot or Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Since the 1990's, Dutchtown Road has been transitioning from agricultural to residential land. Knox County has identified this area as a corridor for development in its future land use map, meaning residents can expect more projects like this one.
