Lil Wayne's Knoxville stop will be his second tour date in Tennessee during the second leg of the Carter anniversary tour. During his other Volunteer State
stop in Nashville, fans were disappointed that the rapper came onstage late.

Some fans said that waiting over three hours since the concert began for Lil Wayne to come out was worth the wait, but not everyone was as thrilled. Other fans took to a Nashville subreddit to criticize Weezy for the late start time.
Some fans said on social media that waiting over three hours after the concert began for Lil Wayne to come out was worth it, but not everyone was as thrilled. Other fans took to a Nashville subreddit to criticize Weezy for the late start time.
One fan said they would remain a Lil Wayne fan despite the concert delay but "won’t be duped into another live show" and added that being "disappointed is an understatement."
Other fans said this is a repeat occurrence and that Lil Wayne has been late to many of his own shows or even skipped out entirely.
"People still buy tickets to his shows after years of this? at some point it stops being a surprise and starts being a tax on hope," someone wrote. "I'd be more shocked if he actually showed up on time and did a full set."
Many cited a 2022 incident in which Lil Wayne was scheduled to play atBeale Street Music Festival in Memphis but canceled, citing mechanical issues with his plane.
"He makes a living off scamming his fans these days," one Reddit commenter said of his 2022 Memphis cancellation.
