Knox News interviewed dozens of candidates ahead of the busy Aug. 6 election so you can hear from them in their own words.
We asked each person on the ballot to come to our office for an interview and to fill out a questionnaire so they could tell us about themselves and their leadership styles, plus touch on the major issues.
Their answers were enlightening, and they are all included below.

Democrat Beau Hawk and Republican Betsy Henderson will face off the Aug. 6 general election to replace Glenn Jacobs.
Knox County sheriff
Republican Brent Gibson is running unopposed in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Tom Spangler.
Knox County trustee
Democrat Stephen Hood and Republican Nick McBride will face off in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Justin Biggs.
Knox County clerk
Republican Richie Beeler is running unopposed in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Sherry Witt.
Knox County register of deeds
Republican Sherry Witt, the current Knox County clerk, is running unopposed in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Nick McBride.
Knox County criminal court clerk
Republican Mike Hammond, the current criminal court clerk, is running unopposed in the Aug. 6 general election.
Knox County sessions court clerk
Republican Charlie Susano is running unopposed in the Aug. 6 general election.
Knox County sessions court judge
Democrat Ben Houston and Republican Andrea Kline will face off in the Aug. 6 general election.
Knox County Commission At-large Seat 10
Republican Justin Cofer, independent Ronin Cunningham and Democrat Katina Sharp will face off Aug. 6 to replace Larsen Jay.
Knox County Commission At-large Seat 11
Republican Garrett Holt, Democrat Vivian Shipe and independent David Velarde will face off in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Kim Frazier.
Knox County Commission District 3
Democrat Brandon Huckaby and Republican Sheri Super will face off in the Aug. 6 general election to replace Gina Oster.
