Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon earned the starting role for Tennessee football, but First Horizon Bank mistakenly, or perhaps prematurely, put sophomore George MacIntyre on its 2026 schedule poster.
The Vol Network posted the First Horizon Bank poster on X on Sept. 2, which are being given out for free at locations in East Tennessee. The poster included Tennessee coach Josh Heupel, running back DeSean Bishop, linebacker Arion Carter, wide receiver Braylon Staley, defensive back Ty Redmond and MacIntyre.
It didn't go unnoticed on social media.

Tennessee's quarterback competition in preseason didn't end until Brandon was named the starter Aug. 24, which was only nine days before the poster was released. It's reasonable to assume the poster design was approved before Brandon was named starter, especially since the poster was released the day after First Horizon was announced as the sponsor for Tennessee football's jersey patch.
The sponsored patch is the first in program history and is worth $120 million over 10 years. The bank is also sponsoring jersey patches for Olympic Sports. First Horizon Bank has served as a significant sponsor for the Vols for 34 years.
