Right-handed pitcher Trigg Listerman announced his commitment to Tennessee baseball on Sept. 20, becoming the second player in coach Josh Elander’s 2028 recruiting class.
Listerman revealed his decision in an Instagram post.
“I want to thank Coach Elander, (Pitching coach Austin Knight), and the entire Tennessee staff for having the confidence in me and giving me the opportunity to play in the SEC,” he wrote. “I’m beyond excited for this next chapter!”
Listerman, who is from Tampa, Florida, visited Tennessee as the football team beat Kennesaw State on Sept. 19. He chose the Vols over Florida.
Listerman is listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds and plays for Cambridge Christian School in Tampa. According to MaxPreps, he had a 3.20 ERA as a sophomore last
spring and 57 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. His fastball was measured at 92 mph this summer.
He is ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 370 overall player and the No. 93 right-handed pitcher in his class. Listerman is ranked as the No. 11 right-handed pitcher in Florida by Perfect Game and No. 5 by Prep Baseball Report.
Listerman is the second player and first pitcher to commit to Tennessee in the class of 2028. Catcher Logan Arnett from Acworth, Georgia, committed on Sept. 7.
