After 12 years of "Party Wherever We Go," a revamped version of Robert Randolph and The Family Band's "Take the Party," as "SEC Nation's" theme song, the college football pregame show announced a new theme song and tapped country singer Megan Moroney to write it.
“I am so excited to be singing this year’s "SEC Nation" theme song…as always, Go Dawgs," Moroney said in a press release.
Moroney quickly rose to country music stardom when she began teasing snippets of her song "Tennessee Orange" on social media prior to its release in September 2022.
A Georgia native and University of Georgia alumna, Moroney came up with the hook of the song, "I'm wearing Tennessee orange for him," which is about her becoming a Tennessee Volunteers fan despite having
always been a Georgia Bulldogs fan.
As someone who is no stranger to the SEC and has written songs about the famed conference it makes sense that Moroney was chosen to revamp "SEC Nation's" theme song. The song debuted during the 2026 Aflac Kickoff Game between Auburn and Baylor on Sept. 5, but Moroney shared only a clip of the song on Instagram on Sept. 19.
"You don't have to wait, it's time to celebrate," Moroney sings. "Aggies in College Station. Auburn, War Eagle Nation. In Texas they hook 'em horns. Boomer Sooner, oh you been warned. Rocky Top got the Vols. Arkansas calls the hogs. Commodores in Music City. Hail State in Mississippi."
The song includes nods to all 16 teams in the SEC, according to a press release.
The song is not currently available on any music streaming services such as Apple Music or Spotify. To listen to the new "SEC Nation" anthem, fans will have to tune in to the weekly show.

"SEC Nation" is a weekly college football pre-game show that first aired in 2014 and travels to different SEC campuses for game coverage throughout the season.

"SEC Nation" airs live on the SEC Network at 9 a.m. ET each week and runs for three hours. College football fans can also stream the show on the ESPN app, Fuboor YouTube TV.

Matt Barrie hosts the show and is joined by familiar "SEC Nation" faces Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, and Tim Tebow. Chase Daniel, Marion Crowder, Marty Smith, and Ryan McGee also play a role in the show.
Who is Megan Moroney?
Shortly after Moroney found success with her debut single "Tennessee Orange," she released her debut album, "Lucky" on May 5, 2023. "Lucky," a green-themed album, was a 2024 nominee for iHeart Radio's Favorite Debut Album and was named the best country album of 2023 by Rolling Stone.
On July 12, 2024, Moroney released her sophomore album "Am I Okay?" This blue-themed album, debuted at No. 9 on Billboard's Top 200 all-genre albums chart. "Am I Okay?" won the inaugural Best Country Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
Moroney released her latest album, this time with a pink theme, "Cloud 9" on May 15, 2026. "Cloud 9" led to a 37-show tour across North America and Europe. Moroney beat her "Am I Okay?" success when "Cloud 9" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 all-genre albums chart.
