Many O'Charley's locations have closed across the country as the national restaurant and bar chain continues to downsize, and two of the Knoxville locations are affected.
There were three O'Charley's locations in Knoxville, although the Turkey Creek restaurant closed a couple of months ago and a closed sign was on the West Hills location on Kingston Pike on Sept. 9.
"Our restaurant has closed," the sign on the West Hills location says. "Thank you for your business and support over the years. We will miss serving you."
The sole remaining Knoxville O'Charley's is at 3050 S. Mall Road on the northeast side of town. An employee confirmed it is open and "hasn't heard anything else." The Alcoa location on Fountain View Circle remains open as well.

News reached out to the O'Charley's corporate office to find out the timeline of rolling closures, what will happen to the last Knoxville shop and what is led to the widespread downsizing, but we have not heard back.
O'Charley's is a chain restaurant with 44 locations across 12 states, according to its website. It was founded in Nashville in 1971 says its "roots demand we deliver the ultimate 'Southern Comfort' experience − warm hospitality grounded in authenticity."
Its menu has items like grilled barbecue pork chops, country fried steak, honey-drizzled southern fried chicken and a buttermilk fried shrimp dinner.
