One of Alabama's top players will likely be unavailable for the Third Saturday in October against Tennessee football.
Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williamsis dealing with knee and head injuries, according to DeBoer.
"Pretty good chance we wouldn't have him here this weekend," DeBoer said Oct. 12.
No. 14 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1 SEC) hosts No. 7 Alabama (5-1, 3-1) at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 17 (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
Coleman-Williams, a junior, has been Alabama's most productive pass-catcher through six games. He is tied for the team lead with 23 receptions and leads the Crimson Tide with 415 yards and three touchdowns.
Coleman-Williams was already wearing a knee brace against Georgia on Oct. 10 and went to the locker room in the second
quarter after an apparent leg injury. He returned but later had to leave the game again after taking a hit to the head in the fourth quarter.
"These guys go through things throughout the week that you don't see," DeBoer said. "Ryan in particular has been doing that and leading the charge not just with what he does to try and be out there on the football field for practice, but the energy and just trying to be uplifting and (a uniting) factor not just for our offense, but for our football team. He was out there battling Saturday, giving everything he had until the very end."
In his two prior matchups with Tennessee in 2024 and 2025, Coleman-Williams totaled 13 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown.
DeBoer added that center Racin Delgatty and defensive tackle Terrance Green are also dealing with leg injuries and will be evaluated throughout the week. Green didn't play against Georgia.
