Tennessee football will play South Carolina at 3:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 24.
It will be televised on ESPN or SEC Network from Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. That game time and broadcast information was announced by the SEC on Oct. 12.
The setup for that game will be quite different for the two teams. The Vols will follow up a rivalry game while South Carolina has an off week.
No. 14 Tennessee plays No. 7 Alabama in their "Third Saturday in October" rivalry game on Oct. 17 (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC) at Neyland Stadium.
South Carolina beat Florida 38-19 on Oct. 10 to give new life to coach Shane Beamer, who's presumably on the hot seat. Now the Gamecocks will rest and reset before hosting the Vols.
Tennessee hasn't been to South Carolina since forgettable 2022 loss
Tennessee leads the all-time series 29-11-2,
but it's had rough road trips to Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Vols have won only two of their past eight games at South Carolina dating back to 2008. They've won six of eight home games against the Gamecocks during that same stretch.
Of course, the most devastating was the 2022 game. That's when UT suffered a 63-38 loss at South Carolina, quarterback Hendon Hooker suffered a season-ending knee injury and the Vols fell out of the College Football Playoff mix.
This is Tennessee's first trip back to Columbia since that game. But the Vols won the last meeting, 41-20, at Neyland Stadium in 2023.
