NASHVILLE — Tennessee baseball will play Troy in its first fall 2026 scrimmage on Oct. 11.
First pitch between the Vols and Trojans is set for 5 p.m. ET at First Horizon Park. The scrimmage will not be streamed
or televised.
This is the first of four fall scrimmages for Tennessee as it prepares for coach Josh Elander's second season in 2027. It will play Lipscomb at Covenant Health Park in Knoxville on Oct. 16 (6 p.m.) before two scrimmages at Erlanger Park in Chattanooga, first against Georgia Tech on Nov. 1 (2 p.m.) and then against Kennesaw State on Nov. 8 (2 p.m.).
Many key players are back from the Vols' 2026 roster after last season ended in the Chapel Hill Regional. Elander also brought in an impressive haul of newcomers ranked by Baseball America as the nation's best, including a talented group of transfers and a freshman class including seven players ranked by Perfect Game as top 100 prospects.
Troy is coming off its first trip to the College World Series in 2026 and returns 18 players from last season's roster.
Starting pitchers and lineups for the scrimmage have not yet been announced.
