Former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, hosts of the popular football podcast "Bussin' With The Boys," are coming to Knoxville for a live show before Tennessee football's SEC opener against Texas on Sept. 26.
The show will be live at Kern's Bakery from 8:30-11 a.m. before the Vols kick off at noon. An announcement said that fans can expect "a morning full of free food (and) drinks, games, giveaways, and some surprises."

This will be one
of four scheduled stops on Lewan and Compton's Bussin’ Tailgate Tour, which started last weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when LSU hosted Clemson to start the season and will later go to Indiana at Nebraska on Oct. 10 and Arizona State at Texas Tech on Oct. 17.
Lewan and Compton were teammates during their NFL careers. Lewan was an offensive lineman for the Titans from 2014-22, being named to the Pro Bowl three times, and Compton played for five teams from 2013-21, including stints with the Titans in 2018 and 2020. They created "Bussin' With The Boys" in May 2019 and were affiliated with Barstool Sports until leaving in early 2025.
Tennessee's game against Texas will be one of its marquee home matchups in the 2026 season. It will be the annual Checker Neyland game and pit the Vols against Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, the nephew of legendary Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.
Knoxville hosted ESPN's "College Gameday" pregame show last year when Tennessee played Georgia and could be a candidate to do so again this season with No. 3 Texas being one of three currently ranked teams on the Vols' home schedule. They will also host No. 12 Alabama on Oct. 17 and No. 8 LSU on Nov. 21.
Week 4 is the first full week of conference play for most FBS leagues and features six games between currently ranked teams. The others in addition to Tennessee vs. Texas are: No. 21 Iowa at No. 24 Michigan, No. 11 Ole Miss at No. 25 Florida, No. 6 Oregon at No. 14 USC, No. 9 Texas A&M at No. 8 LSU and No. 10 Oklahoma at No. 2 Georgia.
