Tennessee volleyball opens SEC play with one of its biggest matches of the season.
The No. 13 Lady Vols (9-1) host No. 7 Texas (4-4) at Food City Center on Sept. 25 (7 p.m. ET, SEC Network) in their first game of conference play. Tennessee is coming off a massive upset on the road against then-No. 9 Penn State, winning the match 3-1 on Sept. 20.
Outside hitter Kennedi Rogers was fantastic in the win, logging her third double-double of the season. Rogers had 21 kills, 10 digs and three blocks. Setter Caroline Kerr also recorded her third double-double with 42 assists, 13 digs, five blocks and four kills.
The Lady Vols have had a strong start to the season, their only loss to No. 2 Pittsburgh in three sets on Sept. 9. Their first eight wins were
sweeps, which included No. 21 Indiana.
