We're 51! We're 51!
A few months ago the Knoxville News Sentinel reported that our Tennessee public education teachers were dead last in pay, even behind Mississippi, 51 because the District of Columbia is included. After that report no one sent in a comment of support for our teachers. What a sad statement.
The newest report says that our public students are ranked 18th in overall test performance. It is a most difficult job with their hands tied behind their backs. Why such a large discrepancy? I don't know but please think about this before you complain about our public teachers. Thank a teacher today.
