Thank you, Tennessee for the warm hospitality you showed me and my daughter this past football weekend as we visited from Idaho. You have a beautiful city and the most polite people. From the stadium tour, to great restaurants and the gorgeous campus, Knoxville has it going.
Our true Tennessee moment came at lunch at Litton's on Saturday. While waiting for our table, we visited with a very nice couple. They shared a lot of tips and insight so could enjoy our first football game at Neyland Stadium and then they were off to their table. Later, as we finished an outstanding lunch, our waitress informed us our lunch had been paid for by two "Volunteer fans" who wanted us to have a memorable stay. We were shocked by this generous display of hospitality.
I still regret that they left before we could thank them but we paid it forward to carry on the Vol spirit.
We met so many nice, helpful people and we will always have great memories of Knoxville, Tennessee.
