Dollywood fans heading to the theme park should plan accordingly if they want to ride the new NightFlight Expedition. The indoor ride is scheduled to be closed for nearly a week.
NightFlight will be closed Sept. 28-Oct. 2, Dollywood announced on Sept. 22.
The five-day closure is so the park can “made additional adjustments to provide a better guest experience,” according to the announcement. NightFlight has temporarily closed multiple times for adjustments and improvements since it opened to all guests on Aug. 19.
The innovative indoor ride has been drawing huge crowds and long lines. In the first days after it first opened, some guests shared on social media that the wait to ride NightFlight Expedition was around three hours. At the time, Dollywood
spokesperson Wes Ramey noted the ride was still in technical rehearsals and that could affect the wait time.
