Now is your chance to buy tickets when Knoxville Catholic plays Baylor on Oct. 30 in a TSSAA football game at Covenant Health Park.
The Covenant Health Classic features one of the top teams in the Knoxville area facing the reigning Division II-AAA state champion.
"We're thrilled to host the inaugural Covenant Health Classic and welcome football to Covenant Health Park for the first time," President and CEO of Boyd Sports Chris Allen said in a press release. "This is an idea we've been working toward for a long time, and we're excited to finally bring it to life."
Covenant Health Park is home of the Double-A Knoxville Smokies baseball team.
How to buy tickets for Catholic-Baylor football game
Tickets will go on sale for $10 at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24. There are also options for seats at $20, $35, and four
seat packages for $60 and $100. Parts of the stadium will also be sectioned for Baylor and Catholic student seating, and band members.
"Our Catholic High community is so excited to be a part of this historic event in Knoxville," said Knoxville Catholic President Dickie Sompayrac.
Both Catholic and Baylor are currently ranked in the USA Today Super 25 Rankings and tote elite college football prospects. The Irish (4-1) are No. 7 on the list with a pair of four-star junior recruits, Alabama commit Braylen Gibbs and receiver David Thomas. Thomas, the No. 14 receiver in the state, has offers from Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas and Purdue.
Baylor is 5-0 and features five-star running back and Tennessee commit, David Gabriel Georges. Gabriel Georges is the two-time Division II-AAA Mr. Football Award winner. Starting senior quarterback Keegan Croucher is a four-star prospect committed to Ole Miss, and backing him up is Peyton Manning's son, Marshall.
