Halloween lovers, the wait is over. Spirit Halloween reopened the doors to several of its Tennessee pop-up locations in early August.
The company, which has no permanent storefronts, is known for its banners that begin showing up on empty brick and mortar locations across the country. Spirit Halloween reopenings have become one of the first signs that spooky season is upon us.
Spirit Halloween sells costumes, decorations, and over the top, theatrical animatronics for the biggest Halloween lovers to display in their yards. It has become a hallmark of the fall season for customers to peruse the aisles of a Spirit location and see what the new offerings are.
Earlier this year, Spirit Halloween director of PR Lori Tesoro told USA TODAY that the company
planned on opening the most stores in its history. A record-setting 1,575 stores were planned for this year. In 2025 there were 1,546 and in 2024 there were 1,535.
The 2026 Tennessee openings come shortly after Spirit Halloween opened its flagship location in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey on Aug. 1.

- 3177 Lebanon Pike, Nashville
- 2615 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 2300, Murfreesboro
- 377 West Jackson Street, Cookeville
- 2021 North Highland Avenue, Suite 57, Jackson
- 345 Northgate Mall Drive, Chattanooga
Several other Spirit Halloween locations across the state are expected to open this month, with many more spots listed as "Opens August" on the Spirit Halloween locator.
