This follows a tradition of the Broken Lizard crew playing with expectations. For years, the rumored working title for the sequel was the much more dramatic-sounding "Super Troopers 3: Winter Soldiers." While that title was ultimately a gag that didn't stick for the final release, it speaks to the comedy troupe's method of finding the perfect, ridiculous hook.
