3. Sunfyre, The Golden Calamity
Hailed as the most beautiful dragon ever seen, Sunfyre the Golden was the proud mount of King Aegon II. But the war has been cruel. After a brutal showdown at Rook's Rest, Sunfyre was left horribly wounded, with a torn wing and grievous burns, believed by many to be dead or dying. His miraculous survival and eventual reunion with an equally broken Aegon is a testament to the powerful bond between dragon and rider. No longer a shining symbol of glory, Sunfyre is now a scarred, maimed monster, fueled by pain and rage. This makes him more dangerous than ever. His journey is now one of vengeance, and his fate is inextricably linked to King Aegon's desperate struggle to reclaim his throne.
4. Vermithor, The Wild Card
Once ridden by the Old King Jaehaerys I, Vermithor, the "Bronze Fury," is second only to Vhagar in size and age. For decades, he was riderless on Dragonstone, a colossal power waiting to be claimed. Now, he has a new rider: Hugh Hammer, a common-born man with Targaryen blood and soaring ambition. This pairing changes the strategic map entirely.
