Jay Chandrasekhar as Arcot 'Thorny' Ramathorn
Jay Chandrasekhar is not just the de facto leader of the troopers on screen, he's also the troupe's most frequent director, having helmed the new film. As Thorny, he’s the often (begrudgingly) level-headed second-in-command who tries to keep the others
in line. In Super Troopers 3, his patience is tested when his sister gets engaged to the one and only Rod Farva, forcing Thorny to try and sabotage the wedding while the crew simultaneously investigates a new drug ring. Chandrasekhar, along with the rest of the Broken Lizard members, formed the group at Colgate University in 1989, and their chemistry has been the engine of their cult classics ever since.
Kevin Heffernan as Rodney 'Rod' Farva
You can't have a liter of cola without thinking of him. Kevin Heffernan's Rod Farva is the loud-mouthed, abrasive, and endlessly quotable agent of chaos who was famously benched to radio duty in the first film. His supreme confidence and total lack of self-awareness make him a fan-favorite disaster. In the third installment, Farva is front and center as his engagement to Thorny's sister serves as the main plot driver. Heffernan, a founding member of the troupe, has perfected the art of playing the guy everyone loves to hate, guaranteeing that wherever Farva goes, mayhem is sure to follow.
Steve Lemme as MacIntyre 'Mac' Womack
The prankster of the group, Steve Lemme’s Mac is the one who’s always ready to escalate a situation for his own amusement. Who can forget the iconic opening scene of the first film where he torments a trio of stoners? Mac is the master of the deadpan delivery and the instigator of many of the troopers' most memorable shenanigans. Lemme’s commitment to the bit is a core part of the troupe's dynamic, providing a mischievous energy that balances out the other personalities. His return ensures that theCat Game and other forms of highway torture are never far behind.
Paul Soter as Carl Foster
Arguably the most "normal" of the bunch, Paul Soter's Trooper Foster often plays the straight man to the others' antics. He was the one who fell for Ursula, the local cop, in the original movie, a relationship that continues with actress Marisa Coughlan also returning for the sequels. Soter's character often provides the relatable anchor in a sea of absurdity, reacting the way a normal person might before inevitably getting swept up in the nonsense. As a co-writer on the films, his sensibility helps ground the ridiculous situations in a semblance of reality, making the comedy hit even harder.
Erik Stolhanske as Robbie 'Rabbit' Roto
Every group needs a rookie, and Erik Stolhanske fills that role perfectly as the eager-to-please, slightly naive Trooper Rabbit. Often the target of hazing and rookie pranks, Rabbit's wide-eyed enthusiasm and occasional surprising competence make him an essential part of the team's chemistry. Stolhanske, one of the five founding members of Broken Lizard, brings a sweet-natured gullibility to the character that has made him an endearing figure. His presence ensures the dynamic of the veteran troopers having someone to mess with remains a key comedic ingredient.
