Unlike natural shades like cream or ivory, optic white isn't just a color; it’s a technological effect. Fabrics achieve this hyper-bright look through chemical additives called optical brightening agents (OBAs). These compounds are designed to absorb
invisible ultraviolet (UV) light and re-emit it as visible blue light. This process counteracts the natural yellow tinge that fabrics can have, tricking our eyes into seeing a white that appears brighter and cleaner than what's achieved by simple bleaching.
