An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Andaman on Sunday, November 9, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).The tremor was felt in parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,
but there was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property. The earthquake took place at 12:06 pm on Sunday, and the epicentre was in Andaman Sea. The depth of the quake was 90 km."EQ of M: 5.4, On: 09/11/2025 12:06:28 IST, Lat: 12.49 N, Long: 93.83 E, Depth: 90 Km, Location: Andaman Sea," the National Center for Seismology (NCS) posted on X.
However, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said that the earthquake was of magnitude 6.07 and occurred at a depth of 10 km. There was no immediate reports of any damage or injury.
