New Delhi: On Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to assess security-related issues concerning the border districts of Rajasthan along the Indo-Pakistan Border (IPB). Along with the Rajasthan chief minister and senior state officials, the DMs & SPs of five border districts of Rajasthan were also present in the meeting.The meeting envisaged formulating 360° security for every border district, involving citizens, state government machinery, and security agencies.The Home Minister directed strict enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy against illegal construction, particularly in 0 to 15 Kms of internal borders, ordering demolition of all such constructions.The meeting underscored
the importance of coordinated approach to Border Management involving BSF, CBDT, NCB and the State Government machinery to address issues of infiltration, narcotics smuggling, encroachment, terror financing and other trans-border crimes.District magistrates have been assigned enhanced responsibility to ensure legal and financial compliance by all banks, verify big business establishments, examine their funding sources, track mule accounts and false companies, identify fake Aadhar cards, and control smuggling.The meeting also emphasised the effective use of the ‘1930’ call center to address cybercrimes and the effective implementation of three new criminal laws.
