'India Doesn't Need Much Health Funding Anymore': Bill Gates Praises Self-Reliance In Doha

Doha: Bill Gates, one of the world's richest men and also, philanthropist, today praised India's health care efforts, pointing out that India doesn't want much health care funding from outside any more, a probable reference to self sufficiency.He also mentioned India, saying "stuff on Artificial Intelligence was happening in India", much of the "foundational stuff" was happening in China and the United States of America. While the discussion was on the South, with a special reference to Africa, Gates went out of his way to speak about India.Speaking about the need to fight disease, especially malaria, but also, pneumonia and other chronic diseases, he felt that Artificial Intelligence would help in finding health solutions.
