PM Modi Conferred Indonesia's Highest Honour 'Bintang Adipurna' Medal During His Three-Day Visit

Jakarta: PM Modi on Tuesday (July 7) conferred Indonesia's highest honour, the ’Bintang Adipurna’ medal during his two-day visit to the Southeast Asian country, highlighting the strengthening ties between the two nations. Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto made an announcement in this regard.Earlier in the day, PM Modi was accorded a grand ceremonial welcome when he arrived for talks with the Indonesian President. PM Modi arrived in Indonesia on Monday on the first leg of his three-nation tour. a guest book when he met President Subianto at the Istana Merdeka in Jakarta. The visit of Prime Minister Modi underscores the growing friendship and strategic cooperation between the two nations.

Notably, it was PM Modi's first bilateral visit since the elevation of the bilateral ties and comes after President Subianto's state visit to India as the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations in January 2025.Ahead of his departure from New Delhi, the Prime Minister had said his visit to Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand would further strengthen India's Act East Policy, MAHASAGAR Vision as well as "our outlook towards a free and open Indo-Pacific."
