Massive Landslide Hits Himachal Pradesh's Shimla Bypass, Dramatic Video Captures Hillside Collapse

Shimla: A massive landslide occurred on the Dhalli–Sanjauli bypass road in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla on Thursday (June 18). The incident was recorded on camera, and the dramatic visuals of the landslide also surfaced online; it can be seen that large amounts of debris crashed onto the roadway, resulting in disruption in the traffic movement. The traffic was halted from both sides. The police have issued an advisory urging commuters to use alternative routes until the road is cleared. Eyewitnesses reported a cloud of dust rose from the hillside as debris tumbled down. The visuals show a massive section of the hillside collapsing onto the Dhalli–Sanjauli bypass road in Shimla, triggering a huge cloud of dust and debris. As the landslide intensifies,

thick plumes of dust engulf the area. The footage also captures motorists stopping their vehicles and maintaining distance as debris continues to tumble from the hillside.So far no injuries have been reported. Meanwhile, the extent of collateral damage is yet to be ascertained.
