Guwahati: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is all set to mesmerize the people of the Northeast with a spectacular flying display over the Brahmaputra River at Lachit Ghat, Guwahati, on November 9, 2025, as part of the 93rd anniversary celebrations of the IAF.Preparations for the historic event—the first-ever Air Force Day celebration to be held in Assam—are in full swing.Participating aircraft and display teams have already begun arriving in Guwahati to conduct rehearsals and coordination activities ahead of the much-anticipated aerial showcase.According to official sources, the flying displays will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on November 5, 6, 8, and 9 along both the northern and southern banks of the Brahmaputra.The grand event will feature
a dazzling array of aircraft, including the indigenously built Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas, the Rafale, and the famed Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT), among other frontline platforms of the IAF.This year’s Air Force Day carries the theme Infallible, Impervious and Precise – symbolising the IAF’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, resilience, and precision in every mission.Beyond its thrilling aerial spectacle, the event aims to honour the glorious legacy of the Indian Air Force and inspire the youth of the Northeast to consider careers in aviation and defence, contributing to the nation’s growth and security.
