Indian Air Force's (IAF) LCA Tejas fighter jet crashed during the Dubai air show on Friday. The jet reportedly nosedived during an aerial display and crashed this afternoon. The Indian Air Force has released
an official statement on the accident and said that the pilot sustained "fatal injuries" during the accident. A court of inquiry will be constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident. "An IAF Tejas aircraft met with an accident during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Indian Air Force deeply regrets the loss of life and stands firmly with the bereaved family in this time of grief. A court of inquiry is being constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident," the Indian Air Force said in an official statement.A spine-chilling video of the exact moment when the aircraft crashed into the ground surfaced online. The jet was in the middle of a flying demonstration at the Al Maktoum International Airport at the time of the crash. It had reportedly taken off at around 2:50 PM, and remained in the sky for hardly a few seconds before the rapid descent.
