Fugitive Nirav Modi has moved the European Human Rights Commission against his extradition to India, sources told Times Now. This is the last legal option for him to prevent his extradition to India. He has been lodged in a London prison after being arrested by UK authorities at India's request in connection with the PNB scam. The UK High Court had rejected Nirav Modi’s plea to reopen and re-examine his extradition trial last month. "Finally, we do not consider that we need to resolve the issue of whether the video-conferencing facilities at Arthur Road Prison are of sufficient quality for Mr Modi to attend his trial remotely. It is obviously desirable that he attend in person, and we do not think that there is any real risk of torture or other
ill-treatment during the course of the journey in Mumbai from the prison to the trial court,” the UK High Court said on March 25," the UK High Court said while rejecting his plea.(This is a breaking copy. More details are awaited)
