Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the progress achieved so far and the forthcoming action plan under Mission Karmayogi in a high-level meeting. Detailed discussions were held on mission implementation, training infrastructure, status of digital platforms, and capacity-building initiatives across various departments. During the meeting, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, S. Radha Chauhan, presented a detailed action plan on the status of Mission Karmayogi implementation in Uttar Pradesh.Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Mission Karmayogi is a transformative initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at developing competent human resources
by integrating Indian cultural values with a global outlook. He said the initiative is playing a decisive role in making governance more responsive, accountable, and result-oriented in line with future challenges.The Chief Minister was informed that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Mission Karmayogi aims to connect more than 30 million civil servants at the central level, nearly 22 million personnel across states, and around 5 million personnel in Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions with capacity-building initiatives. Under the mission, over 790 government training institutions across the country are being strengthened and modernised. For continuous and comprehensive online training of civil servants, the iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) digital platform has been established.The iGOT platform has today emerged as the world’s largest government-led capacity-building platform. More than 14.5 million users have been registered on the platform so far. A total of 4,179 training courses are available, including over 840 courses in Hindi and more than 540 courses in 15 other regional languages. Over 67 million courses have been successfully completed, with a course completion rate exceeding 70 percent, reflecting the platform’s wide acceptance and effectiveness. The iGOT app has been downloaded more than 5 million times.Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the leading state in the effective implementation of iGOT Karmayogi. More than 1.88 million personnel from the state have been onboarded on the platform, accounting for 93 percent of total onboarding across the country in 2025. Over 1 million users from the state have completed at least one training course. A total of 7.2 million courses have been completed by Uttar Pradesh personnel, accounting for 99 percent of total course completions nationwide in 2025. This achievement marks a significant step towards strengthening good governance, efficient administration, and a citizen-centric service delivery system in the state.The Chief Minister directed that all departments and government institutions should design need-based courses and upload them on the Government of India’s e-learning platform, iGOT portal. He further instructed that a seven-day capacity building programme be made mandatory for all officers and employees and linked with their promotion and ACR.He also directed that all training centres operating in the state, including UPAM, must develop capacity-building curricula in line with current requirements to enhance the functional efficiency of new trainees at the training centre level itself. He emphasised that AI and cyber security must be mandatorily included in the curricula of all departments and government institutions.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that the ‘Amrit Gyan Kosh’, the case study platform of iGOT, hosts case studies from across the world. He said Uttar Pradesh also has several best practices and case studies across departments, which should be uploaded on the platform. Emphasising innovative thinking and a citizen-centric approach, he stated that real improvement in public service delivery is possible only through the integration of knowledge, skills, and a positive mindset. Mission Karmayogi strengthens work culture and promotes public participation, ensuring timely and effective fulfilment of national priorities.The Chief Minister further instructed that special attention be given to the quality, regular evaluation, and practical utility of training programmes conducted under Mission Karmayogi so that their benefits reach every unit of governance and continuously improve service delivery standards. He also directed that capacity-building courses be developed to enable engineers across departments to gain knowledge of new designs and emerging technologies.Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed that under Mission Karmayogi, ANMs, ASHA workers, police constables, Panchayati Raj Institution personnel, and Urban Local Body field staff should be prioritised with practical, task-oriented, and need-based training programmes to strengthen efficiency and sensitivity at the grassroots level.
