In a shocking case of medical fraud in Assam, a fake doctor was exposed after nearly 25 years. received a formal complaint against him, prompting immediate attention from authorities.Following the complaint, Bongaigaon Police launched an investigation into the matter. The incident has raised serious concerns about long-term unregulated medical practice and the risks faced by the public.Numerous individuals posing as doctors have been arrested in various parts of India and elsewhere recently, with many cases uncovered in Assam and Pune in late 2025. Earlier this year, police in Assam's Cachar district, conducted an intensive campaign against unqualified medical practitioners since early 2025, leading to dozens of arrests.
