Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, a key accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique and also a wanted accused in the case related to a firing on Bollywood star Salman Khan's residence in 2024, has been
sent to 11-day National Investigation Agency (NIA) remand,Bishnoi was taken into custody by the NIA immediately after he was deported from the US and landed at Delhi’s IGI Airport on Wednesday. NIA teams were already present at the airport ahead of his arrival and completed the arrest formalities on the spot. Wanted in multiple cases across several states, Bishnoi was brought back under heavy security before being taken for further legal procedures.The key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was then taken directly to the Patiala House Court for further legal proceedings, where he has now been remanded to NIA's custody.

Times Now has exclusive details of the NIA chargesheet against Anmol Bishnoi, who is also the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The Bishnoi gang, sources said, morphed into Dawood-style organised crime syndicate under Anmol Bishnoi.Like Dawood Ibrahim, Lawrence Bishnoi had become a notorious gangster who has started assisting terrorist organizations within a period of 10 years of his criminal activities, the NIA said. "His terror syndicate has consistently been aiming to destabilise the law and order in north India through targeted killings, extortion, attempt to murders, it said."The growth of the Lawrence Bishnoi and his terror syndicate has tremendous similarities with the rise of Dawood Ibrahim, a wanted terrorist, gangster and drug kingpin who heads the notorious organised terror syndicate D-Compay," said the NIA chargesheet.US-based Anmol Bishnoi is the 19th accused to be arrested for his involvement in the terror syndicate led by his jailed brother, Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol was chargesheeted by the NIA in March 2023 after investigations in the case established that he had actively aided designated individual terrorist Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in carrying out various acts of terrorism in the country between 2020 and 2023.Working closely with several Bishnoi gang associates, Anmol continued to run terror syndicates and execute terrorist activities for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from the US, using its operatives on the ground. Investigations revealed that he had provided shelter and logistical support to the gang’s shooters and ground operatives. He was also involved in extortion in India from foreign soil with the help of other gangsters.The NIA continues to investigate case RC 39/2022/NIA/DLI (the terror-gangster conspiracy case led by Lawrence Bishnoi) as part of its efforts to dismantle the nexus between terrorists, gangsters and arms smugglers, along with their infrastructure and funding networks.
