The security forces on Thursday, January 1, recovered a suspected packet near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district following reports of suspected drone activity in the Khari sector. The security forces recovered a packet suspected to be dropped by Pakistan. A detailed search operation has been launched. An Indian Army official confirmed to Times Now that a suspected packet was found near the LoC. Following the recovery, a detailed search operation is currently underway. “Further details are being ascertained and will be shared once facts are established,” the official said.Earlier in the day, a suspected drone movement was noticed along the LoC, after which a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army,
the Special Operations Group (SOG), and the local police. The packet is believed to have been dropped by the same drone. The contents of the recovered packet are yet to be officially disclosed, pending verification and examination by security agencies.
