Authorities are now examining whether she was working in India without a valid permit."She had applied for the business visa, but she had yet to get the approval," the officer was quoted by PTI as saying. 'Birch by Romeo Lane' Owners Flee India
A massive fire at the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in North Goa's Arpora, some 25 kilometres away from Panaji, on late Saturday night claimed 25 lives. Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, are believed to have fled to Phuket, Thailand, hours after the tragedy, the Goa Police said on Monday.The Goa Police had approached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for issuance of an Interpol Blue Notice against the Luthra brothers, after they fled the country. The owners' escape was discovered after a massive manhunt was launched following the filing of an FIR.

During the probe, it was found from the immigration records that the duo took flight IndiGo flight 6E 1073 to Phuket, Thailand, at 5:30 AM on Sunday, December 7, just hours after the incident took place around midnight.A senior official said that this swift exit by Luthras shows their "intent to avoid the police investigation."On Tuesday, the Goa police on Tuesday detained Ajay Gupta, one of the partners of the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub.
